A regular called meeting of the Gainesville Economic Development Corporation was held on Monday,
August 24, 2009 at 11:30 A.M. at the First State Bank Conference Center located at 837 East California, Gainesville, Texas 76240
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Frank Morris, Tommy James, Keith Clegg, Jim, Goldsworthy, Joe Wallace, Charles Draper, Don Wallace, Glenn Loch, Charles Brown and Barry Sullivan
BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Charles Woolfolk and JoAnn Powell
STAFF PRESENT: Kent Sharp and Diane Landin
CALL MEETING TO ORDER: President Frank Morris called the meeting to order at 11;30 A.M.
CITIZENS COMMENTS: No citizens comments.
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES OF JULY 27, 2009 BOARD MEETING:
The minutes of the July 27, 2009 Board Meeting were presented to the Board for their consideration. Charles Draper made the motion to approve the minutes as written. Joe Wallace seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously.
7 AYES, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT, and 0 ABSTENTIONS
CONSIDERATION OF JULY FINANCIAL REPORT:
The Financial Reports for July 2009 was presented to the Board for their consideration. Don Wallace made the motion to approve the Financial Reports. Tommy James seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously.
7 AYES, 0 NAYS, 0 ABSENT, and 0 ABSTENTIONS
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
President Frank Morris called the board to convene into closed and executive session for the purpose of discussing under Government Code 551.072-Real Property. Under Government Code 551.087-Deliberations Regarding Economic Development Negotiations. The Gainesville Economic Development Corporation convened into a closed session at 11:40 A.M.
OPEN SESSION:
President Frank Morris called the Board into Open Session at 12:30 P.M.
CONSIDERATION AND ACTION OF ITEMS DISCUSSED IN CLOSED SESSION: No action taken at this time.
ADJOURN MEETING
With no further business before the Board, President Frank Morris adjourned the meeting of the Gainesville Economic Development Corporation at 12:35 P.M.
