...gotta get to Gainesville!
Wednesday, September 5, 2007

Greetings from Your Chamber!

FYI.......we have either mailed out or hand delivered 8,068 of our new visitor guides. 2,754 of
these were individual requests for Gainesville visitor information from all over the Unites
States, Canada and even Great Britain. We have placed these in our local hotels and other
places of business that visitors will come to. We are very proud of these and a lot of work went
into them. We hope that you realize that it was impossible to list every antique, retail, clothing
store. We only listed the restaurants and hotels with the address and phone numbers. The
committee looked at several visitor guides from various cities around Texas and chose
Seguin's because it had the best format for what we wanted in ours. If you are a business
owner and would like to distribute them, please contact the Chamber and we will get them to
you.

As you may know by now GAINESVILLE WON the Henkel A Brand Like A Friend contest. Patrick
McCage is meeting with them today to see where the work is needed the most. If you have any
suggestions, please contact the Chamber and we will pass the information on to him.

COMPANIES/TEXAS. It will be held in the Activity Center at North Central Texas College,

very casual. We invite ALL of the Chamber members to attend and get better acquainted with
your fellow members. Beer, wine, and soft drinks will be served. Written invitations will go out
this week.

C Quarter Circle Ranch has announced that the Phoenix Project scheduled to arrive September
13th has been postponed until October. They will let us know when the troops will be arriving
as soon at the new dates have been scheduled.

We want to welcome a new member this week. Dharla C. Wall/A. G. Edward Financial
