Greetings from Your Chamber!!
Happy Birthday to Dennis Noblett!! He has a birthday this Friday. He wouldn't tell us how old he will
be, but said it was somewhere between 49 & 51.

John would like for all of the surveys to be completed and returned by the END of this week. He will
then use the information from these to plan a course of action to address the comments. If you
need a copy of the survey, please contact us. Please check out the website and let us know if
there are any changes that need to be made in your information. IF YOU AREN'T ON THERE
YET....PLEASE BE PATIENT, WE ARE STILL WORKING ON GETTING OUR MEMBERS LISTED. IT IS A
LONG PROCESS, BECAUSE IT IS BEING DONE "BETWEEN OTHER JOB DUTIES". Also, check out the
Colander of Events to see if we have the info correct on any event that you are having. ANY
CORRECTIONS NEED TO BE SENT IN WRITING. The web address is www.gogainesville.net. Our new
visitor guides are at the printers now. We should have those within the next couple of weeks. We
will place them in the area hotels and other places of business where tourist might be able to pick
them up. If you want to put some in your place of business, please contact us and we will be happy
to get them to you.
Jake Jacobsen with Jacobsen Design Inc., an architecture firm, informed us yesterday that he will
give free consultations for damages from the flood to any of the flood victims. You may contact him

Chamber Ambassadors...Mark your calendar!! Wednesday, August 22nd, at 10:00 am., we will be
having a ribbon cutting for Five Star Supply, 3704 E. Hwy 82. Bill Moran is the owner.
The Chamber of Commerce will be having their annual Back to School Breakfast, Thursday, August
23rd at the Chamber. It will be sponsored by City Credit Union. Written invitations will be going out
early next week. We will be collecting school supplies for the GISD students.
North Texas Screen Printing and North Texas Satellites have moved to 815 N. Grand Ave., Ste. A.
Their place on California St. was destroyed by the flood.

Sunday, October 7, 2007, at 11:00a.m. All proceeds will benefit the Coats 4 Kids Project. Please call

Please mark your calendar and plan to attend the Project Recovery Summit on August 16, 2007 at
Tanglewood Resort from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. The cost is $30 per person and includes lunch. The
goal of this Summit is to discuss key substance abuse issues impacting employers and to move
