Happy Halloween!!
CELEBRITY CELEBRATION
A UNITED WAY FUND RAISER
Saturday, November 10th
TEAM ( Together Everyone Achieves More) Medical Community Networking Group is
sponsoring this event to benefit the Cooke County United Way. Beginning at 5:30pm, a
Red Carpet Party at the First State Bank Conference Center, at 7:00pm a Stage
Performance at the State Theater and then at 8:30pm a Backstage Party at the
Backstage Cafe. There is lots of hilarious entertainment by a group of talented (and
some untalented) community spirited folks.
100% of the proceeds go to Cooke County United Way. TEAM has stepped up to the
plate and said they want to raise $5,000.00 (the amount that CCUW goal was raised this
year). Based on the success of this event, this group is signed up to host this signature
event annually benefiting United Way.
We just have to help this be a success - we have everything to gain and a lot to lose!
This is a very tough camping year for United Way and they are counting on this event to
help them reach 100% of their goal.
Please ask your family, friends, neighbors, church members, co-workers, etc. to buy
tickets. The cost is only $20 per person and this covers the whole night of
entertainment. If you buy 6 or more tickets they are only $15. We have tickets here or
you may call Pam Black (940) 736 6257 or 665 0944 or Barbara Hoover (940) 736 1307
to find out where else you may purchase them.
PLEASE, PLEASE SUPPORT THIS EVENT!!!!
If you would like a copy of the flyer to post at your place of business, church, school,

Home Hospice of Cooke County is looking for volunteers that would be interested in
their “BEAR HUGS” program. At this time the need is great. These people would not
have to be current volunteers but would need to be persons who love to sew and enjoy
making a difference in the lives of others. If you know someone who fits this bill, please
ask them to call Kathi Kirby or send her their phone number and she will contact them.
For those of you who are not familiar with this program: They give their patients and
their families the option of several extra programs that are run thru the Volunteer
Program. One of these is the Bear Hugs program. The patient of family gives Home
Hospice an item of clothing that belongs to the patient. This might be a favorite shirt or
a comfy bathrobe. The volunteers then make it into a Bear. This gives the caregiver or
family member something special to hold on to after the patient is gone. Home Hospice
thanks you for all that you do for Home Hospice, their patients, their families and our
county. You are truly appreciated.
